Concert stage design and technical production in the UAE and Saudi Arabia

A concert depends on details the audience never sees: rigging loads, power, sightlines, changeover times and the artist’s technical rider. Brand X designs stages and delivers technical production and show management for live music, working with promoters, venues and artist teams so the production fits the venue, the rider is met and the show starts on time.

What we handle

  1. 01 Stage and set design
  2. 02 Sound, lighting, video and rigging
  3. 03 Rider review and advancing with artist teams
  4. 04 Venue and site planning, front and back of house
  5. 05 Production schedule, load-in and changeovers
  6. 06 Audience areas, barriers and safety planning
  7. 07 Production and stage management on show day

What the work covers

We work from the artist’s rider and the venue’s limits. That means checking the roof or the ground for rigging and loads, planning power and sound coverage, designing the stage and screens, and building a production schedule for load-in, soundcheck, doors and changeovers. For open-air shows we also plan the site: barriers, audience zones, the front of house position, back of house, and access for artists and crew.

Show day

On show day, a production manager runs the site and a stage manager runs the stage. Changeovers are timed and rehearsed where the schedule allows, and the show runs from a single running order agreed with the artist’s tour manager and the promoter. Any change to set times goes through the same people, so crew, security and front of house hear it at once.

After the last song

The plan covers audience exit, artist departure and the de-rig as carefully as the build, so the venue is handed back on time and in the condition agreed.

Questions

Do you work with promoters and venues?

Yes. Most concerts involve a promoter, a venue and an artist team, each with their own requirements. We act as the production partner: advancing the show with the artist’s production manager, and agreeing site, safety and schedule with the venue, so the promoter has one team responsible for delivering the show.

Can you build a stage for an open-air concert?

Yes. Open-air concerts need a stage, roof and rigging suited to the site, the weather and the show design, plus power, barriers and audience facilities. In the UAE and Saudi Arabia heat and wind shape the plan, so ground conditions, wind limits and engineering sign-off are built into the schedule from the start.

How do you handle an artist’s technical rider?

We review the rider against the venue and the budget as soon as it arrives, confirm what can be met as written, and propose alternatives where equipment or conditions differ. Everything is agreed in writing with the artist’s production manager before load-in, so there are no surprises at soundcheck or on the night.

What affects the cost of a concert production?

The main factors are the venue or site, the stage and roof, the sound, lighting and video specification, the artist’s rider, the number of shows and the crew hours involved. Open-air sites add structure, power and facilities. Send us the artist, the date and the venue, and we will return an outline production budget.
